Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha accused Premier Edi Rama for the state of the country’s economy, which he called “catastrophic”.

Speaking during the opening of the electoral campaign in Kruja, Basha said the Albanian economy has worsened because the economy of the Premier’s oligarchs has improved.

“Edi Rama has been campaigning for a week now but refuses to speak, refuses to give an account of where are the 300 jobs he promises. The economy is catastrophic; the unemployment has sat cross-legged here. Yet, Edi Rama says the economy has grown but the people do not understand it. It is true it’s grown, but not the honest economy. It is the economy of drugs and crime that has grown. This is Edi Rama’s Albania, but it is not ours”, Basha said.
