“The government with two steering wheels” has been the word of the day so far in the electoral fight between the Socialist Party (PS) and the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI during the campaign.

Premier Edi Rama has used frequently the words “steering wheel” in his electoral meetings, addressing the citizens almost every time: “Give us the votes, so we can hold the governance steering wheel by ourselves”.

He explained its meaning today, by attacking the ally in nearly four years of co-governance.

“We must have the steering wheel, without keeping others on our lap, in order to do as much as ten times more of what has been done”, Rama said in Gjirokastër today. According to him, partners in the government are obstructive.

“I have heard all kinds of wordplays. The symbolic is clear, if you have the steering wheel you are obligated to keep the others on your lap so that they can keep one hand on the wheel too”, Rama said.
