Mayor of Fier Armando Subashi has taken punishment measures, firing or suspending, for three of his subordinates. They were involved in the electoral campaign, which is forbidden by law. The punishment was decided after the case was exposed in an investigative program on television.

The press release said the Municipality of Fier “is concerned and discontent for such actions and the following measures were taken:

Dismissal of high specialist for investments Ms. Adelina Hoxha.

Suspension till the clarification of all details of the directress of the Directorate for Territorial Planification and Development Ms. Renilda Hyseni.

Suspension from duty of the high specialist in the Directorate for Territorial Planification and Development Ms. Luljeta Ngresi.

By taking distance from such actions, the Municipality of Fier guarantees it will continue to be at the citizens’ full service and will address any signal of public concern to fight by all means the corruption in the institution”.
