Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha commented before the opposition MPs the sexual scandal of former disgraced Mayor of Kukës Safet Gjici, saying it showed the real face of Edi Rama’s regime. Gjici was filmed while performing sexual acts with a woman in his office in the Municipality of Kukës and stepped down after the video became public.

“Kukësi’s case is the real face of this regime, is a proof of all forms of corruption, including erotic corruption”, said Berisha.

“It’s a blatant testimony of a rotten regime that has lost the right to govern. As long as it exists, we’ll see only scandals”.

“We must do everything to enable the nerve of the anti-government protests. A regime like this knows no other language than protests. This must be very clear and we must make the voters aware of it as well”.
