Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha condemned the raid of the Albanian state police at the camp of the Iranian opposition group Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK) in Manëz. Berisha blamed Premier Edi Rama for violating all the international laws for the rights of the refugees.

“The intervention of Rama’s police is in violation of all the international laws for the refugees’ rights. The Democratic Party condemns terrorism no matter where it comes from, but a massive raid in a refugees’ camp is brutal”, the former Prime Minister said in a press conference.

He added an cyberattacks from Iranians on the Albanian government database has actually happened, but the attack was done first by Rama’s government with the intention of using the citizens’ data for political gain.

“I condemn strongly the physical and psychological terror on the Mujahedeen. I condemn the physical brutality that led to one dead person due to the many wounds, and more than 40 wounded persons that are hospitalized”.
