SPAK, the Albanian Special Structure against Corruption, has issued an arrest warrant in absentia for the former Mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako.

It is understood arrest warrants have been issued also for other nine officials and former officials of the Municipality of Durrës, second biggest in Albania but their other names have not been revealed.

In the following hours, SPAK is expected to provide information on the names of former officials.

Vangjush Dako headed the Municipality of Durrës for the period 2007-2019.
