Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha commented the release on parole of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri. Berisha said Tahiri’s release was ordered by Premier Edi Rama.

“Saimir Tahiri was released with Edi Rama’s order after the ultimatum that his patience is over and he would confess about all (Rama’s brother) Olsi’s and Edi’s links to the gangs from Mexico to South Africa”, Berisha told media reporters in his weekly press conference.

“Saimir Tahiri blackmailed him publically. You know his statements. Finally he managed to defeat Rama, who is now stuck in the McGonigal affair. He is lobbying strongly but he cannot save himself, despite the commitment of George Soros and his cronies. I believe the US justice will show the deserved place to McGonigal’s corrupter”.
