Dutch Ambassador to Albania Reinout Vos welcomed the Albanian government’s decision to suspend the initiative of the “golden passports” until after an international court examines Malta’s case.

He made his statement during a meeting of the Albanian Committee of Helsinki concerning the publication of a report on the “golden passports”.

“It is important to talk about issues like the ‘golden passports’, a process that requires the thoughts and engagement of different segments of society and experts”, said Vos.

“The EU citizenship is not for sale. This is my opinion about this topic. I do not have any strong message, but I have a concern that I must share”.
