Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha raised a few eyebrows in the parliament today when he sat at the Socialist majority seats. It was a first for the former right-wing Prime Minister, who later explained his reasons.

“It was not by accident that for the first time ever I sat at the seats of the Socialist MPs”, said Berisha.

“I did it with the best of intentions, because today, we Democrats are the best defenders of and speak for the interests of all the Albanian citizens without distinction”.

“Considering the level the parliament has fallen today, more than ever Albanians need representation. Today it is time to act. They (the ruling majority) only lie from morning till dusk”.
