Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha rehabilitated today former Speaker of the Parliament Jozefina Topalli and former Minister of Defense Arben Imami, saying injustice was made to them by former leadership of the party. Both Topalli and Imami were left aside from the dismissed chairman Lulzim Basha.

Speaking to media reporters after a meeting of the Commission for the Refoundation of the Democratic Party, Berisha said Topalli and Imami were subjects of brutal attitude, referring to their expulsion from the party. Both have been proposed by Chairman Berisha as candidates for the party leadership that will be voted tomorrow at the National Council.

“In the list there are ladies and gentlemen with contributions. Of course, criticism is welcome without hesitation, by among the criteria were the contributions, the injustices that have been done. Topalli and Imami have been proposed, a brutal attitude was held against them in the past”, said Berisha.

“Anyone might have made a different list, but in my judgment it is excellent”.
