Albanian President Ilir Meta accused former Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha of selling the elections of April 25, 2021, saying it was a “fixed match”.

“It was a fixed ‘match’ even before its start”, Meta told media reporters in Korça.

“I did not make any promise (considering the elections) because I did not participate in the April 25 elections, nor will I participate in the March 6 (partial mayoral) election”.

He repeated his promise that once he takes off the President’s suit he will take part in real political battles.

“Ilir Meta is not someone that fixes matches, he would never betray the Albanian people and public”’, said the Albanian President.
