Former Chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha promised today for stronger protests than the one that took place on January 8 at the party headquarters. Speaking in Lezha, he declared Premier Edi Rama and Lulzim Basha are holding the headquarters hostage because of a project of commercial towers.

“Our goal on January 8 was to oust the criminals from the (Democrats’) house. We wanted to oust the most degraded person in the history of the Albanian politics”, Berisha said for the disgraced chairman Lulzim Basha, dismissed after a referendum of the Democratic Party membership last December.

“It was discovered in the last days that the attack against the Democrats, all the gas cylinders, toxic dust, prepared by traffickers and murderers inside the headquarters had as their final intention only thievery. Do not forget this!”

“The four thieves’ project that will be developed at headquarters land was revealed. The project of the thieves Rama, Basha, (Tirana Mayor) Veliaj, and (the developer) Fusha. This is why Rama tries to hold hostage our house, the house of freedom, the house of Democrats”.

Berisha promised he will not allow this and vowed for bigger protests.

“We must be ready for protests stronger than that of January 8. Our agenda is freedom and only freedom”.
