Historic leader of the Albanian Democrats Sali Berisha said the country today is facing enemies more dangerous than the communist dictator Ramiz Alia. Speaking on the occasion of the 31th anniversary of the foundation of the Democratic Party branch in Lezha, Berisha said Premier Edi Rama and his political hostage Lulzim Basha aim to take hostage also the pluralism in the country.

“We are a traditional party, we will not renounce our tradition. We respect it, that’s why we are a real conservative party. Ne honor our roots and history, because we want to project a better future”, Berisha said to the audience.

“Today we have an enemy much more dangerous than the one we had before 1990. What we had then was a dictator who had ordered political murders, but still was able to understand the hurricane of freedom could not be stopped. Today we are facing a wild enemy of pluralism. We are the only country where the chief of the government thinks he can keep the pluralism hostage. He believes that by keeping Lulzim Basha hostage he will be able to continue to stomp on the Albanians’ rights and interests”.
