Former Albanian President Bujar Nishani wrote today “the Democratic Party will never come to power as long as the party leadership is taken hostage and controlled by the majority and Premier Edi Rama”.

In a note on his Facebook page, Nishani, a known critic of Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha, highlighted that “this situation perpetuates the left and Edi Rama in the most corrupt and incriminated power of the last 30 years clearly projects the Democrats in opposition for the next 30 years”.

“Changing the Democratic Party, its re-foundation, reforming and modernization are national emergences, and moral and political responsibilities of the Democrats”, Nishani wrote.
