Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha ordered the lock of party headquarters today as a preventive measure to stop delegates of the National Assembly to deposit signatures for the convocation of the extraordinary Assembly on December 11.
The delegates of party local branches 4 and 11 in Tirana made public the names of that signed the petition for the convocation of the Assembly. In the local branch 4, 92 out of 111 delegates signed the petition, while five others are abroad. In the branch 11, 79.5 of the delegates signed the petition.
However, the delegates faced an unusual situation when they went to deliver the signed forms at the office of Head of the Democrat National Council Edi Paloka. Per Basha’s order they were not allowed to enter the building. The doors of the second floor, where Paloka’s office is situated, were locked to stop anyone from entering.
The incident was announced by the delegates that spoke to the media reporters outside the Democratic Party seat.
