Head of EU Delegation to Albania Luigi Soreca commented today the Democratic Party proposal for the politicians vetting and the internal situation in the party. He said the Democrats initiative shows the importance of the opposition’s participation in the parliament, and did not reject possible cooperation with former Chairman Sali Berisha, declared non grata from the United States.

Soreca added the EU Delegation never ceased communicating with the Albanian politicians, not even when the opposition relinquished the parliamentary mandates and abandoned the parliament.

"We work with all the political forces, we have cooperated with the Democratic Party when it was out of the parliament, and we’ll watch the internal developments in the party. Nothing will change. We’ll continue to cooperate with all the political forces”, Soreca said in Korça today.
