Albanian Premier Edi Rama introduced former Minister of Education Lindita Nikolli as the Speaker of the new parliament. Nikolli’s name has been mentioned repeatedly by the media as the eventual successor of former Speaker Gramoz Ruçi, who decided to step down from his political career, despite being reelected in the April 25 elections.

“Lindita Nikolla is an example for every task, a good friend and career politician that is characterized by the will of good-mannered dialogue with the others”, Rama said.
