Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha said in a press conference today Premier Edi Rama had the thieves of votes in Durrës released from prison right on the day OSCE/ODIHR published the final report on the April 25 elections.
He said Astrit Avdyli and three other persons from the investigative file 339 on the votes manipulation were released.
“The same day when the investigation of electoral crimes was required, three protagonists of the investigative file of Shijak were released. OSCE report confirmed April 25 solved nothing for Albanians, neither for the ones that voted for the opposition, nor for those who voted for the ruling party”, Basha told media reporters.
“The question is: who will offer better education, public order, safety, chances for better lives? The ones that blackmailed the administration employees, used crime to gain votes, gave away the country’s assets to a fistful of oligarch to receive in turn money to buy votes? Our duty, Democratic Party’s duty is to cooperate closely with the international partners, aware that time proved we were right in our claims”, Basha said.
