Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha reacted immediately after the publication of OSCE/ODIHR final report on the April 25 general elections in Albania. The report confirmed all the opposition’s claims of vote buying from Edi Rama’s government. Basha wrote the report is proof of the alienation of the Albanians’ will that shows how April 25 had nothing to do with democracy and free and fair elections.

“OSCE/ODIHR final report confirmed that the Albanians’ will was alienated on April 25. These are some of the conclusions of the final report of OSCE/ODIHR on April 25:

Massive vote buying.

Pressure on voters.

Merge of the ruling party and state into one.

Abuse of public assets at the advantage of the ruling party.

Abuse with power and public functions.

Increased employment in public administration with electoral intentions.

Pressure on public administration to vote for the ruling party.

Using reconstruction funds to orient the vote.

Legalization in exchange for the vote.

Stealing Albanians’ private and personal data from the ruling party and establishing the criminal system of patrons by exercising through this system pressure and blackmail on citizens.

Using criminal groups to put pressure on electors.

Unilateral constitutional changes, contrary to the recommendations of the Venice Commission.

Summed up in two words: Electoral massacre!”
