Incumbent Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha continued his electoral tour in the county of Durrës today. Basha is running for the party elections of June 13, asking to be reelected at the helm of the party to continue his fight against Edi Rama’s autocratic regime.

“There isn’t an Albanian that doesn’t know deception and cheating as Edi Rama’s two main characteristics”, Basha said to his supporters in Durrës, referring to Rama’s invitations to the opposition for cooperation. “He has turned back to his maneuvers, like the deception of reaching his hand for cooperation. Why is he doing it right now? Because he know the real strength we came out of this battle”, the Democrat chief said, repeating he does not recognize the outcome of April 25 as legitimate and representative of the Albanian people.

 “April 25 has nothing in common with democracy, just like in March 31 1991 these were elections without solutions, because the state has become one with the party and the party became one with the state”, Basha said.
