Democratic Party Chairman  Lulzim Basha presented today before the EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel their online education platform.

Basha focused on the PD program "Albania wins education", saying the online education platform includes five free foreign languages and dual professional training in 20 different disciplines for Albanians.

“We know where the problems lie in our country. Young people are leaving Albania at an unprecedented rate for the last 30 years, even at a faster pace compared to other Balkan countries.

If we compare them, for every young Serb who leaves Serbia, 12 is the number of young Albanians leaving Albania. Most of them are leaving for the European Union.

We are losing at a very fast pace the people we need the most, in order to build our economy, in order to move forward, in order to enable Albania to embrace the opportunities and standards of the European Union”, highlighted the Opposition Leader among other things.

On her part, Commissioner Gabriel said: “I assure you that we will use all available tools and initiatives including the next agenda - the Western Balkans Agenda for Innovation / Development, Research, Culture, Education and Youth to advance our cooperation and increase socio-economic recovery and convergence with the EU”.
