Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha attacked Edi Rama’s government following the latest US Department of State over money laundering.  

“Today we have it written black on white in the DOS Report on corruption and money laundering in the world: The Albanian government has made no significant progress toward thwarting money laundering.

The cause is only one: The failed and corrupt government of Edi Rama. The reason for the lack of progress in the fight against money laundering is corruption. There’s no need to speak about the anti-Mafia wiretaps on how ‘ndrangheta’s money are laundered in the Municipality of Tirana”, Basha said.

“The government corruption is the knot that holds them together. Edi Rama and his collaborators stole through secret bids the people’s food money. Today SPAK has taken as defendants only second-rank persons, while at the peak of the lockdown the government did what it did in the last eight years: abused with the Albanians’ money. This is the cause of the economic crisis, of stagnation and Albania’s hold of breath. On April 25, your votes will be a guarantee and I am the guarantor. Starting from me, the future Prime Minister of Albania, we will liberate justice”.
