Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha reacted after a disgraceful declaration from Prime Minister Edi Rama that the exodus of Albanians from their country is not the end of the world. “Only Enver Hoxha kept Albanians in a cage", said Rama trying to offload the blame for his government’s failure to provide jobs and welfare in the country.

“Edi, you say you have no way to stop emigration.

I agree with you, you have no way to stop it. For eight consecutive years, not only you could not stop emigration but thanks to your bad governance it reached new records with hundreds of thousands of Albanians leaving the country”, Basha wrote.

The Democrat chief added he has a plan that will be implemented after the victory of the elections.

“We have a way. We have a work plan: lower taxes, attracting foreign investment, financial support for every young Albanian who returns to work and live in Albania, creating new jobs and supporting and stimulating youth entrepreneurship. On April 25, Albanians will elect a government that will bring Albania out of the mud and return our young people to their homeland”.
