President of the European People’s Parties Women (EPP) Doris Pack showed her concern today for the situation in Albania, where she thinks there is a lack of will for the Judiciary Reform and the Law of Decriminalization.

Pack met today the Forum of the Democratic Party Women and later made a declaration.

According to Ms. Pack, the electoral reform must be approved as soon as possible, adding that the reform in the public administration has been fruitless.

“I feel sorry for the situation in Albania. What I have seen in the media makes me sad. I believe there is a lack of will related to the decriminalization and narcotics, a lack of will to fight the organized crime. I have followed the Judiciary Reform and I hope for a quick implementation. A reform in the public administration is necessary and I have not seen big results here. The electoral reform must be approved before the coming elections and they must be literally elections”, Ms. Pack said.
