Albanian youths rallied today outside the prime ministry building to protest against the luxury lives of the government officials in a time when many Albanian citizens live amid poverty in tents after the devastation caused by the earthquake of November 26 2019 and the latest floods.

Many Albanian citizens expressed their indignation after pictures of several officials, with Minister of Reconstruction Arben Ahmetaj among them, dining in a top restaurant in Dubai.

The protesters held banners showing the huge gap between the citizens’ lives and the luxury lives of government officials that feast in Dubai while the country is under water.
