Noted Doctor Erion Dasho has objected the results of a study of the Albanian Academy of Sciences, claiming that 25% of Albanian citizens have been already infected with Covid-19 and have gained immunity. For Tirana, the figure is 50%.

Dasho said the study is worthless, based on the methods followed. He explained that unless the 800 participants in the study were chosen randomly, then the conclusion that 50% of Tirana citizens are immune to Covid-19 is worthless.

The World Health Organization states that in most countries, less than 10% of the population have been infected with the virus.

Starting with 50 percent of a population being immune from a virus, that population has either reached herd immunity or is close to achieving it, according to John Hopkins University.
