Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha counted five promises Albanian Premier Edi Rama made and did not keep, while asking for a third term after nearly eight years of failures.

“People are no sheep. Albanians understand very well this is poor effort from being accountable for the last eight years. Where are the 300 new jobs he promised? Where is the free healthcare? He promised lower taxes for 97% of Albanians, didn’t happen. He promised lower power price, but raised it instead. The same with the fuel price, which is also higher now”, Basha said in a meeting with youth that cannot afford studies or can barely do that.

“Now he promises to do in the next four years what he couldn’t for eight years! Is there any other alternative but change? For me, the main change must be in economy, wWith lower taxes, with stable energy and fuel prices, with the liberation of entrepreneurship and economy from the state’s daily terror. The liberated economy will be the first change that will come with the votes of April 25 and will continue in other fields”.
