Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha said the Albanian opposition will run united in the April 25 elections.

"The opposition is united and will appear united in the elections to give shape and content to the Albanian aspiration for change. The opposition will maximize its vote and potential. We will do this in coordination with all allied parties. This is the greatest union of political forces, which is the union of a greater civil alliance," said Basha, guaranteeing the opposition will not allow any single vote go to waste.

Basha did not answer directly whether there will be a list or two lists from the opposition in the elections, but said that the votes will be maximized.

"Rama is a minority even within the Socialists. The opposition will maximize its vote through better strategy and greater unification of political forces. We will not allow any vote to go in vain.

Neither I nor any of my allies will stop to guarantee what the Albanians want: Edi Rama’s departure and change! Of course, the decision will be taken through an open dialogue and without prejudices. We will not make personal calculations as we have only one aspiration: to give voice to the change," Basha said.
