Albanian Premier Edi Rama reacted angrily after a public letter of President Ilir Meta concerning the coronavirus situation in the country, telling the President to keep his nose out of this issue.

“Ilir, you have no competence to stick your nose into the experts’ work for the management of the medical situation! For starters, do not get out of your house without a mask, also control your party not to make hysterical calls against keeping masks, and mind your business, which is what you aren’t doing for some time now”, Rama wrote.

“The experts decide for the future steps based on the fall-winter strategy. The increase in numbers is within the predictions and we must avoid a new lockdown by all means, that’s why everyone, starting with you, must obey the simple rules”.
