Albanian Premier Edi Rama announced today keeping a mask will become mandatory for all starting from Monday, as the number of coronavirus infections has increased every day. Speaking to media reporters about the measures to restrict the spread of virus, Rama said a second national lockdown would be very hard on the country, appealing to the citizens to respect the measures.
The Prime Minister and the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu said keeping masks would be obligatory both in closed and open spaces, threatening with penalties for the offenders.
“As of the next week, masks will be mandatory everywhere except your homes and the bar or restaurant where you are spending some time. The masks will be mandatory in every environment, every street, public space and punishment measures will be applied for all; it will be paid through the electricity bill. Have no illusion, no one can avoid the penalty”, Rama warned the citizens.
