Albania’s former General Advocate Ledina Mandija has asked SPAK, the Special Anti-Corruption Structure, to investigate and indict Premier Edi Rama for the large amounts of money Albania has to pay following the rulings of the International Court of Arbitration.

“In seven years of Edi Rama’s governance there are a number of failures at the Court of Arbitration, like Avax with €2.5 million; JV with €900,000; €Bankers Petroleum with €250 million. The list is long. Recently, a new lawsuit worth €100 million has been filed, meanwhile the government hurried to contact another company”, Mandija said.

She added that SPAK and the National Bureau of Investigation have the obligation to investigate all the cases related to the processes in the Court of Arbitration.
