Albanian President Ilir Meta has promoted domestic production, inviting the citizens to consume Albanian products.

Meta visited farms in the north-eastern district Dibra, where he met farmers that are experiencing hard times due to the Covid-19 crisis but first of all from a lack of support from the government, and unfair competition in the market.

The President appealed for serious attention to the agriculture and tourism, as two sectors with huge potential for a stable development not only of Dibra’s economy but also of the country’s.

“Grants, soft loans, concrete schemes for inciting the domestic cultivation, accompanied with smart and efficacious marketing, would give fresh breath to the Albanian agriculture and boost the domestic production and the exports of products made in Albania”, Meta wrote, calling the consumers to “Produce Albanian! Buy Albanian! Consume Albanian!”
