The Democratic Party (PD) has condemned the excessive violence the Albanian police used against Ballsh oil refinery workers that are protesting in Tirana for their rights, after have not been paid for months.
“The State Police should not be facing the citizens but the ones that stole the Ballsh Refinery”, PD said in a statement.
“The oil workers are in their right to demand their delayed salaries and to continue working. This is shameful! Edi Rama should not hide behind police forces. He must keep the promises made to the oil workers and authorize (minister of infrastructure and energy) Belinda Balluku to meet the representatives of the workers:.
