A former MP of the ruling Socialist Party (PS), Agostin Marku, said Premier Edi Rama took control of the cannabis cultivation monopoly in the country following the maxi-operation of 2015 in the southern village of Lazarat - a cannabis cultivation centre at the time – and with the money generated from the cultivation and trade stole the elections in 2015, 2017, and 2019. Speaking for the daily Telefraf, Marku said there is enough cannabis planted this year to buy the votes again in April 25, 2021.
He also added the Socialist Party membership is disappointed by Rama’s governance and they would be ready to welcome President Ilir Meta should his party, LSI, win the elections next year. Marku says Meta was the best Prime Minister ever from the ranks of the Socialist Party he will have the support of the Socialists that want the rule of law.
