Albanian Premier Edi Rama continues to insist there is no agreement between the Albania and Greece of the extension of Greek territorial waters to 12 miles, adding that if it happens it would be done only with President Ilir Meta’s signature.

“We cannot have an agreement over the sea with Greece without President Meta’s approval. The President is the one that signs the agreement and later the President has the possibility to appeal at the Constitutional Court. Nothing can be done without the President’s approval and anyone that buys the opposite is merely a fishbrain”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister also commented the coldness and distance between him and Meta during the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vlora: “There was no handshake because Covid forbids it”.
