Kosovo Premier Avdulla Hoti has opted against lifting the restrictive measures in the country following the reduction of the infected numbers. Despite have lower daily numbers of positives with Covid-19, Hoti said the number of deaths is “very high”.

“There will be no need for stronger measures, but for advices and information”, Hoti is quoted as saying by the Kosovo daily Gazeta Express. “I can’t say we’re going towards easing the measures either, because the situation has not improved. It’s a fact we have less cases, but the number of fatalities is very high, too high”.

Hoti added he is happy to see the citizens have become more aware and are keeping protective masks. “I say it with satisfaction that the culture of respecting the measures has been created”, said the Prime Minister.
