Albania became officially the second country in the world – after Vladimir Putin’s Russia – to change the Constitution during a pandemic.

With 106 votes in favor and 10 against, the parliament passed the Constitutional changes, which aim the ban of the pre-electoral coalitions. Six MPs were not present in the today’s session.

The changes also sanction the partial opening of the electoral lists.
