The Albanian Democratic Party (PD) rejected as a lie and with sinister intentions Premier Edi Rama’s idea that the open electoral lists cannot function with pre-electoral commissions.

PD representative in the Political Council for the electoral reform Oerd Bylykbashi told media reporters today that the coalition and the open lists could work without problems with one another and it is only a question of the composition of the voting ballots.

“This is one of Edi Rama’s lies. The coalitions and the open lists can work without problems. The coalition we have today is a kind of open list for the party. The voters decide with their votes. It’s the same thing we’re trying to do with the proposals that through the open lists the voters will decide how much worthy is each of the candidates”, Bylykbashi said.

"Rama is trying for the opposite, to deny the electors the possibility to decide how strong a party is”.
