Albanian Premier Edi Rama has warned his Socialist Party (PS) functionaries they will become servants of the opposition leaders should they lose the next year’s general elections. Apparently there is a growing fear of losing the elections inside PS and its chairman Rama has done nothing to hide it. Rama visited today Zvërnec, a seaside village a few kilometers from Vlora, where residents showed revolt against both Vlora’s Mayor Dritan Leli and the government last week.

Sources from Rama’s meeting with Socialist representatives and functionaries in Zvërnec told television Top Channel that Rama look nervous and concerned, made gestures, raised his voice and yelled at the participants. He warned the participants “if you continue to be confused like this, it’s certain we’ll lose the next elections”.

Several chairmen of Socialst branches in the districts accused the government of not keeping of promises, making Rama go mad and punch the table.

“If you feel fed up with power, you’ll fall down to the point of becoming servants of Luli and Monika”, Rama said, referring to Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha and Socialist Movement for Integration Chairwoman Monika Kryemadhi.
