The Democratic Party (PD) condemned the rejection of President Ilir Meta’s three decrees by the Socialist majority in the parliament as a part of Premier Edi Rama’s plan to steal the citizens for the interest of five oligarchs.

The statement was made by PD’s vice chairman Edi Paloka.

Paloka repeated Meta’s appeal to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SPAK) to investigate who proposed the three corruptive and unlawful initiatives in order to send “the big fish” before justice.

“For seven years, Edi Rama’s government has been proved as a government that serves to the private interests of a few oligarchs and Rama’s cronies”, Paloka told media reporters.

“There’s only one intention: making rich a fistful of persons that fund Edi Rama illegally and share with him the country’s assets, lands at seaside, people’s taxes, construction permits, concession, and exclusive multimillion contracts”.

“The approval of certain special laws is one of Edi Rama’s ways of spreading the country’s assets to a few people connected directly to him. Such are the three laws the President returned to the parliament, but instead of appraising Meta’s act as public good, the illegitimate parliament acted like a notary of Rama’s stealing”.
