Albanian President Ilir Meta reacted after the parliamentary commissions that have looked over the decrees for the return of the laws to the parliament have refused to recognize the Institution of the President. Meta said this is unacceptable and incompatible with the Constitutional principles.

“This is legislative corruption”, Meta said.

“These acts intend the disinformation of the public and hiding the anti-constitutionality of the project laws and the costs they bring, which will be paid by the Albanian citizens in the future”.

“In the language of law this is legislative corruption, which is the most serious act of abuse of public office”.

The President appealed to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SPAK) to start investigating all the procedures for the proposals of the bills and hold the responsible persons accountable.
