Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party (PD) Edi Paloka said the MPs appointed as opposition in the parliament showed their true faces today.
The so-called “the new opposition” – MPs that chose to stay in the parliament and other that entered from the electoral lists after the opposition decided to relinquish the mandates on February 2019 – made several proposals for the ban of pre-election coalitions in Albania.
“Finally, they showed their true faces! Their concern is not for the open lists, they care for Edi Rama’s project to forbid the pre-election coalitions”, Paloka wrote on his Facebook page.
“Having remained alone, Rama is using the crutches of the “opposition” to ban by law the pre-electoral coalitions. This was his project from the very start f the debate for the electoral system. The more they yell for open lists without coalitions, the more they show themselves in the public opinion eyes as concubines and servants of Rama’s criminal regime, which they are trying to keep standing as a political zombie”.
