The Alliance for the Protection of the National Theater, now demolished by the government, has filed a criminal lawsuit for attempted murder against Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj, Director General of State Police Ardi Veliu, and Tirana’s Mayor Erion Veliaj. The Alliance registered the lawsuit at the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SPAK).

“They are accused of the criminal offense of attempted murder and we have requested their arrest. We believe SPAK will take the right measures. We require the revelation of truth about what happened on May 17”, the lawyer and activist Adriana Kalaja told the media reporters after filing the lawsuit, adding they will consign the evidence in the time when their declarations will be registered.
