The new coronavirus cases in Albania are occurring in places where they could have been prevented, like sewing factories and call centers.

A new hotspot was confirmed recently in the Hospital Center of the Tirana University (QSUT). As a matter of fact, nosocomial infections are nothing new in Albania.

Shkodra’s case is the most flagrant illustration, where the hospital turned into a dangerous hotspot but the government rushed to blame the citizens of Shkodra, deeming them as irresponsible. Nosocomial infections occurred in Kukës and Durrës too.

The son of one of the first Covid-19 victims in the country, from Kavaja, said his father was to be released from the hospital when he was told he was infected by coronavirus. He suspects his father was infected in the hospital.

It all drops Edi Rama’s propaganda of having protected the doctors and nurses from the coronavirus. It also fails his propaganda in the defense of the concessions that were supposed to make the hospitals cleaner and safer from the diseases.
