Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha said after a meeting with US Ambassador Yuri Kim today that the electoral reform will be concluded by May 31.

Basha told media reporters after the meeting that the opposition will do everything to conclude the reform within the deadline, adding the opposition aims to go to the ballot boxes as soon as possible with the voters uninfluenced by the criminal gangs, votes’ buyout, and corruption money.

“I’d like to thank Ambassador Yuri Kim for her support to the electoral reform”, the Democrat leader said.

“Conducting free and fair elections is an absolute priority of the Democratic Party, the United Opposition, and all Albanians. We are determined to do our best to guarantee to Albanians the possibility to go to the ballot boxes as soon as possible and elect their government, uninfluenced by the criminal gangs, votes’ buyout, and corruption money”.

“We’re here for this battle and we’ll do our best to finish it before May 31, a deadline we requested to the majority”.
