Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha has condemned Premier Edi Rama’s decision to ban the prayers of the Muslim believers tomorrow on the day the Eid al-Fitr, the biggest celebration in the Muslim world.

Berisha said Rama’s decision is “an act of an atheistic narco-dictator” and made an appeal to the spiritual leaders of the Albanian Muslim community.

“I appeal to all the Muslim believers to fill the squares of our cities and villages tomorrow, to pray to the Great Lord and celebrate Eid al-Fitr”, Berisha wrote.

“I appeal to all the hodjas of the country, all the imams and muftis, to lead by order of the Almighty the prayers of the believers and never betray them, also to condemn the atheistic infidel-like and dictatorial attitude of the Prime Minister that on this sacred day intends to stand above the Lord”.
