Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha declared today the Albanian opposition is ready to give Albanians full guarantees to head to the polling stations and join in a plebiscitary vote to get rid of the evil that is ruling the country. Basha told media reporters Premier Edi Rama was bluffing to block the electoral reform and hold the European integration hostage.
“The Albanian citizens called the Edi Rama’s bluff with the demolition of the National Theater, with which he hoped to demolish the electoral reform too and the chances to give Albanians free and fair elections”, Basha said.
“Everyone, Albanian and foreigners alike, understood this mobster plan with the intention to obstruct the electoral reform, the country’s European integration, which would allow Edi Rama to use the same mechanisms he has used before to manipulate and hold Albania hostage to recycling crisis”.
“We are determined not to allow this. The Democratic Party and the united opposition are ready to give Albanians full guarantees to head to the polling stations and join in a plebiscitary vote to get rid of the evil that is ruling the country”, the Democrat chief said, adding that the opposition is ready to deny this cunning plan to Edi Rama and offer a way out of the crisis, by being totally committed in the conclusion of the electoral reform as soon as possible.
