Albanian Premier Edi Rama has responded to President Ilir Meta’s 14-point platform for finding a way out of the political crisis. Rama said the parties should leave the appeals and sit urgently with open cards around a table.

“The President should stop making appeals and the opposition must renounce from ultimatums and childish insults. Let them leave the theater of meeting of the salvation committees because Albania, the parliament, and the government have no time for hide-and-seek games”, Rama wrote.

“We are close to the approval of the Plan of Acting for the Negotiations in the National Council of Integration. There is no better occasion for the President, the opposition, justice institutions, international partners for justice and integration to gather urgently with open cards around a table. The President has not given me any platform, but I am ready to sit at any moment with him, the opposition in and out the parliament and with the partners of the judiciary reform, to dot all the i-s, because the theater is gone now”.
