Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha reacted after Premier Edi Rama’s declarations today in the parliament, where he admitted he only needed the land where the National Theater stood until Sunday, when it was demolished to make space for new commercial towers.

“Rama demolished the National Theater violently, unlawfully, and with the only intention of building towers and launder dirty money right in the center of Tirana”, Basha tweeted.

“Just like an ordinary thief he is now trying to hide his thievery behind the dreams of many artists for a new Theater. This violent robbery of our national asset is a provocation to every citizen that hasn’t received any ‘war wage’, to every business that is going bankrupt on account of Rama’s failures, to every jobless citizen and every honest Albanian”.

“Just like a coward, Rama is trying to put the blame on anyone to save himself. But today he is the naked king that everyone is pointing to”.
