Chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Monika Kryemadhi has been fined by the Tirana Police and stripped of her driving license on the grounds of violating the curfew imposed by the government. Kryemadhi, also wife of the Albanian President Ilir Meta, passed the night outside the National Theater, in protection of the historic building that the government and the City of Tirana intend to demolish.

“The situation has aggravated with the unlawfulness and abuse of power. The Alliance for the Protection of the Theater has created an exemplary resistance. I wished the Albanian justice was awaken too and act, being by the artists’ side”, Kryemadhi said.
